Why Respect Matters?
Cultivating Respect for Instructors and Peers

At PURE TKD, we believe that respect forms the bedrock of a strong martial arts community. This respect extends not only to our esteemed instructors but also to fellow students, parents, and everyone who plays a role in making our school a nurturing environment for growth.

Why Respect Matters:

**1. Honoring Tradition and Wisdom: Martial arts is steeped in rich tradition and history. Our instructors bring not only their expertise but also the wisdom accumulated over years of training. By showing respect, we acknowledge and value the experience they share with us.

**2. Creating a Positive Atmosphere: Respect fosters a positive and harmonious atmosphere in our training sessions. When we treat each other with consideration, we create a space where everyone feels comfortable and motivated to learn.

**3. Fostering Personal Growth: Respecting our instructors and peers is a reflection of our own character. It shows that we are committed to personal growth not only in skill but also in integrity and empathy.
The Importance of Addressing Instructors:
Addressing our instructors as "Yes Sir" or "Yes Ma'am" is a meaningful way to show respect in the martial arts environment. Here's why it matters:
**1. Acknowledging Leadership: Instructors are guides on our martial arts journey. Addressing them formally acknowledges their authority and expertise. It sets the tone for a learning relationship built on trust and understanding.

**2. Cultivating Discipline: Using "Yes Sir" or "Yes Ma'am" cultivates discipline, an essential trait in martial arts. It reminds us to listen attentively and follow instructions, leading to better progress and skill development.
**3. Fostering Focus: When we address our instructors formally, it helps us stay focused on the training session. It's a small act that reinforces our commitment to learning and self-improvement.
Remember, respect is a two-way street. Just as we expect respect from our instructors, they also hold immense respect for each student's dedication and effort. By embracing respect and using respectful language, we strengthen the bonds that tie us together as a martial arts family.
Thank you for being a part of [Martial Arts School Name] and for contributing to a culture of respect, growth, and unity.
Martial Arts Ettiquette
At Pure Taekwondo, we embrace the principles of respect and discipline to create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive. Our Martial Arts Etiquette is founded upon these values, ensuring a harmonious and focused training atmosphere. As we embark on this journey together, let's explore what this etiquette entails:

1. Respect for Instructors and Peers: Respect is the cornerstone of our community. We honor our skilled instructors by addressing them as "Sir" or "Ma'am." This tradition fosters a sense of authority and encourages focused learning. Respect extends to fellow students, parents, and everyone who contributes to our martial arts family.
2. Encouragement and Positive Support: Cheering on your child's progress is a vital part of their growth. Your enthusiastic support motivates them to reach new heights. After each class, acknowledge their effort and achievement. Your positivity reverberates within the training hall, creating a space where each student can flourish.
3. Boundaries and Trust: While we value parental involvement, it's important to maintain boundaries during training sessions, tests, and competitions. Allow our instructors to guide and coach the students. Trust their expertise, as they are well-versed in the intricacies of martial arts training.
4. Effective Communication: Open communication is the bridge that connects parents and instructors. If you have questions or feedback, our doors are open. Feel free to reach out via email at puretaekwondo@gmail.com or text at 408-475-0686. For in-depth discussions, you can schedule a meeting to ensure ample time for meaningful conversations.
5. Honoring Tradition and Trust: Martial arts is not just about physical skill; it's about character development. Uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and humility that are woven into the fabric of our practice. When an instructor imparts guidance, encourage your child to heed their words. This trust builds a strong foundation for growth, both on the mat and in life.
Together, let's create a vibrant and respectful community within Pure Taekwondo. Your commitment to our Martial Arts Etiquette lays the groundwork for a fulfilling journey. Thank you for being an essential part of our martial arts family.

Best,

Grandmaster Carlo

Pure Taekwondo would like to thank you for your support and being a member of our community.
As much as we love it when parents engage with their children's martial arts journey; there are guidelines we would like parents to consider while their children participate in the program.

Support
Encouragement and supporting your child's progress is extremely important.
Your support will help keep them motivated.
Push them to stay focused, practice harder and to remember their forms to attain the next level.
Always praise your children for having done a good job once class has concluded.
The best source of positivity will always come from you "the parents".

Boundaries
We encourage parents support their children and watch them during class. However, it prefered that parents separate themselves from class interaction while students are practicing, testing or even competing. Coaching your children from the sideline will often confuse them. We want to ensure that the students rely on the Master's expertise when it comes to training and to ask for advice when needed. Let the experts manage student progress.

Trust
Parents should provide the masters and instructors of Pure Taekwondo a leverage of trust. The team of masters are highly experienced, and extremely qualified to train all age groups. This trust, will help the students flourish both in martial arts and in real life applications.

As an example; if a master or instructor says one thing, please encourage that statement by reminding them that they should listen to the master or instructor . This will help enforce the students's trust in the source of trusth from Pure TKD leadership. A martial arts school is a place that exhibits discipline both internally and externally.

Communication
The Grandmaster of Pure Taekwondo has an open door policy. If you have questions or feedback feel free to reach out by sending an email to puretaekwondo@gmail.com, you can text to 408-475-0686 or even schedule a meeting for an ample responses and communication.

Note: During class sessions or breaks, please refrain from asking questions, giving feedback, or interrupting activities to maintain an uninterrupted learning environment and ensure all students receive proper attention. Thank you for your understanding.
