Student Competition Options

🥋 Sparring (All Ages & Belts)

  • Black Belts 8+ may use Daedo electronic scoring

  • Head contact rules vary by age/rank (light contact for juniors)

    • No head contact for 6 - 11 years old

    • Light head contact for all levels 12 - 14

    • Light head contact for black belts 15 -17

    • Light head contact for black belts 18 and over

    • PURE TKD black belts should consider only doing Grassroots Black Belts for sparring, as world class requires the daedo electronic socks purchased seperately and full head contacted allowed for 15 and above.

🥋 Poomsae 

  • Individual: Required for all participants (divisions by age & belt)

    • White Belt: T1

    • Yellow Belt: T2

    • Green Belt: T3 or T4

    • Blue Belt: T5 or T6

    • Red Belt: T7 or T8​

  • Team: 3-member teams (Poomsae Team Members Only)

    • Same or mixed gender

    • Judged on Presentation:

      • Synchronization, creativity, strength, speed, rhythm, & energy​

Coaches Needed!
Coach M will be out of town for this event, and additional support to coach our sparring athletes would be greatly appreciated. I we will be holding a special coaching class in advance to ensure proper coordination and support for our athletes.

  • Any parents interested in helping coach should notify Grandmaster Carlo and register for coaching.

  • Your support is essential to ensure our athletes perform at their best.
