Grandmaster Carlo, the dedicated Head Master of Pure Taekwondo, has committed his life to the martial art since 1980, studying under 9th Dan Grandmaster Kim and, between 1995 and 1997, training with Olympic Gold Medalist Kuk Hyun Chung. With over 40 years of experience, Grandmaster Carlo has become a pivotal figure, shaping champions and leaders through his teaching, notably leading the Stanford Taekwondo Program for 15 years, co-directing the Stanford Taekwondo Open, and launching the celebrated Google's Mountain View Taekwondo program in 2016. As a USA Taekwondo (USAT) Level 3 Coach, his commitment to excellence has resulted in the development of over 14 National Champions, and in 2025 alone, he guided 17 athletes to AAU West Coast Regional and National titles. His personal competitive success includes gold medals at the U.S. Open, Kukkiwon World Hangmadang, and most recently the California Open in forms and sparring. His achivments reflect the core values of discipline, precision, and integrity that he instills in himself and his own students.
