6th Dan Black Belt
Master Adam
Master Adam began his Taekwondo journey at age five under Grandmaster Kim, earning his 3rd Degree Black Belt by the age of thirteen, one of the youngest in the school's history.
His competitive success came early, winning four Junior National Championships before turning thirteen. While attending UC Irvine, he continued to compete at a high level, winning multiple Collegiate National Championships and founding the prestigious UC Irvine Taekwondo Program. During his collegiate years, he further developed his training under Grandmaster Vu in Irvine.
After completing his studies, Master Adam returned to Kim’s Taekwondo to continue his advancement, earning both his 4th and 5th Degree Black Belts under his original lineage. Among his many competitive highlights, he captured a Gold Medal at the 2009 U.S. Nationals under the guidance and coaching of Grandmaster Carlo, defeating a student of Olympic Gold Medalist Jimmy Kim in the finals. Now united once again with Grandmaster Carlo at Pure Taekwondo, Master Adam serves as the Athletic Sparring Director, where he is committed to developing the next generation of athletes, instilling discipline, competitive spirit, and a passion for Taekwondo, while continuing his own journey of growth.
