Master Adam began his Taekwondo journey at age 5 under Grandmaster Kim, earning his 3rd Degree Black Belt by age 13, becoming the youngest 3rd Degree Black Belt in the history of his founding school.

His competitive success started early, with Master Adam winning Junior Nationals four times before the age of 13. A regular competitor on the tournament circuit, he continued to excel while attending UC Irvine, where he founded the prestigious UC Irvine Taekwondo Program and won several Collegiate National Championships.

After further developing his skills, Master Adam returned to Grandmaster Carlo to refine his fighting techniques and fulfill his desire to reach even greater heights in Taekwondo. Under Grandmaster Carlo’s guidance, he earned a Gold Medal at the US Nationals in 2009, defeating a student of the legendary Jimmy Kim in the finals.

Now a 5th Degree Black Belt, earned through Grandmaster Vu’s TKD in Irvine, Master Adam is a core part of Pure Taekwondo, where he serves as the Athletic Sparring Director. He is deeply committed to training the next generation of students while continuing his own personal development, with the potential of returning to competition.
